Richard Grimm joined Heller Ehrman in 2007 and is a member of the Executive Compensation and Benefits practice group.
Mr. Grimm’s practice focuses on executive compensation and employee benefits matters, primarily in the context of complicated merger and acquisition transactions, leveraged buyouts and spin-offs. Mr. Grimm also provides extensive advice on compensation related corporate governance issues and often addresses questions presented by compensation committees.
Mr. Grimm has advised many companies on mergers and acquisitions matters including Google, Inc., Agilent Technologies, Inc., CB Richard Ellis Group, Inc., and Veritas Software Corporation. He has advised leading investment banking firms including Citigroup, Credit-Suisse and Goldman Sachs. Mr. Grimm also has advised many private equity fund sponsors and investors including Babcock & Brown, Blum Capital, Castle Creek Capital, Hellman & Friedman, KKR, KSL Capital, Pantheon Ventures, Platinum Equity, Prides Capital, Ripplewood Holdings, and Silver Lake Partners.
Mr. Grimm has been published in the employee benefits area by the New York University Tax Institute and the Benefits Law Journal. Mr. Grimm is listed as one of the best compensation and benefits lawyers in America by the Best Lawyers in America publication.
